THE APPEARANCE
Blair is pretty. She has the soft features and complexion. Well her eyebrows and height are another story. Blair was built like her mother. Pale skin long lean stature and a doe like eyes. While her father handed her the bushy eyebrows and wide smile with a full bottom lip. Her hair is a brown color with auburn and blond strands running through it. Usually it is wavy and very messy because of her daily life. It’s very long and because of the mess, she just keeps it in a tight braid. She is a bit tall for a girl, but she is alright with it, though she can be a bit clumsy. Her clothes are very simple now a days. When she was little her mother made her wonderful dresses, or different colors and shapes. She would make a new design and have Blair model it before making more. It was her job. But when she died and Blair was sent to the Roux’, she went to the simple browns and beiges, nothing fancy but it was better than being naked. But she learned very young how to make shoes, which is what her father taught her. So she wears very sturdy handmade boots.
THE PERSONALITY
You can’t tell Blair she can’t do something, because she will surprise the crap out of you. First she’ll tell you to demonstrate exactly what you want her to do. Then she’ll let you talk smack. And then she’ll hustle you. Blair is very determined. She wants to do and know how to do everything. It’s the effect from her ability. It messes with her mind and she ends up not having enough time or energy for everything she wants to do. Blair will either be nice and bubbly. Usually confident and sarcastic or flirty depending on who you are. OR. She can be very temperamental and mean, a big smart ass. But Blair tries not to be too bold. The way she grew up and where she works, Blair tries to remain polite and as helpful as she can. She only trusts her actually parents, her adoptive ones, Ben and Rowan. No one else since it seemed like people she should trust (like the royals) made a 180 change and disappoint and upset her (like the royals). She isn’t very open about her opinions on issues and people, but ask her and she is completely blunt and honest. Oh I lied. She is open about her opinions when someone steps out of line and offends someone or makes trouble. Blair respects everyone until they give her a reason not and she is only loyal to those she trusts.
THE HISTORY
BIRTH REALM: Faeryn
BIRTH KINGDOM: Faylinn
Currently Blair lives in Everfall, but nineteen years ago she was born in Faylinn. Camilla and Declan Aria were the ones who had the pleasure of holding Blair for the first time. Camilla was a royal seamstress while her father made footwear for the royalty. Actually they made it for anyone, but only the royals could afford it. Or so they told the royals. They actually sold on the side to those in need, more in trading than for money. But it was more plain and simple. Blair spent most of her childhood running around with her father. She was daddy’s girl. But she always wore mommy’s clothing. She had to be six when her power was founded. Blair could mimic everything her father did. In half a year, Blair knew how to make her own shoes. She never got the chance to learn what her mother could do though.
When Blair was seven her parents were arrested. Crime? Somehow they made their side trades into a crime. A friend of her father’s took Blair in until he made it into Everfall. In Everfall, Blair was handed over to Roux’. They were family friends apparently. Camilla’s father was friends with River’s father. River took her in with no problem. They had a son her age and Mary had fallen barren. Naturally, the two kids didn’t get along for maybe the first year. Ben would always pick on her and this and that, it was horrible until she got the upper hand.
Blair had never touched a weapon before or seen a fight. She was eight almost nine when she was forced to go with Ben. Ben was with his friends and they had fake wooden swords. Guards hardly ever used theirs but they did show the boys how a fight should be done. Blair was with them and watched in amusement. She loved it. But she never expected Ben to hand her a fake sword. Blair scared, took it and stood there. When Ben came at her, they expected her to fall, shield herself, and cry. But her instincts and ability kicked in. Up went her sword blocking his. It took all over twenty seconds to have him on the ground just like the guard performed.
After that Ben and Blair became close. It was the highlight for the week. After that everything was normal again, other than Ben and Blair running around play fighting. River and Ben taught Blair how to fight and build things, while their mother taught her how to cook. Blair ended up doing house work most of her time as a child. They were mainly with Ben. They had a farm near the border of Everfall and the mountains. Animals everywhere. River was always harvesting crops or chopping up animals to take shops and taverns. Blair learned how to handle knives and equipment. Thanks to her ability it will be stuck in her muscle for a long time.
When she was fifteen, Ben left to be trained for the Royals. He was a great fighter and recruited to become a solider, maybe even a knight. But, hell, no one said no to the Royals. Blair was left by herself and took up all the work at home. When she was sixteen, she set out for a job, the one she has now. It’s a tavern in the middle of Everfall. During the time working there, she met some interesting fellows, caused many fights, and even won more fights. Those turned into very tells, though all seem fake once you meet Blair. It can’t be true until you piss her off or offend someone.
It had to be a month after she turned seventeen she found the egg. At first it seemed like a rock to her, probably chipped off the mountains, but it was smooth and very round. From the stories she heard at the tavern she decided to take, just for that “just in case.” She kept it in Ben’s bed. They shared a room and his bed was under the window. It was the best spot in a winter’s morning and the worst spot during the summer morning. She wrapped it up and kept it hidden until one night Mary woke everyone up with a scream. Her knew little dragon was wondering around and got stuck in a basket.
Blair had to make a very convincing argument on keeping it. In the end, she did in fact win, not to mention it followed her around like that damned blue jay since she got her job. Honestly Rowan was more of a dog to the family in the beginning. Blair would go to work and Mary would take care of the little thing until she would come home. They Rowan would follow her around watching her. Rowan had less chores (River hired a young boy to help around when Ben left and Blair got the job), so she spent a lot of time playing with the dragon. They would hike into the bottom of the mountains and mess around. Rowan began learning to fly after that. He was a heavy thing and would jump from boulder to boulder until he was high enough. Then he’d jump off and try as hard as he could to flutter his wings. Blair ended up catching him for about two months. Then she had to bring packs of hay for him to land on.
Rowan finally learned how to fly. By that point Blair made a little home at the mountain bottoms for Rowan so he can just run around. He just ended up at the house and proved he was too wide for the door. A few more months after that Blair began learning how to ride him. Actually she is still learning. It’s quite comical to watch her get on him and then keep her balance. Once her balance would get set, she would try steering and find herself on the ground. Rowan is now trying to blow fire, but it’s as successful as Blair riding him.
THE DRAGON
NAME: Rowan
AGE: 13 months
GENDER: male
COLOR: navy and silver
GUARDIAN DRAGON: N/A
MOTHER: (if known)N/A
FATHER: (if known)N/A
SIBLINGS: (if known)N/A
PERSONALITY:
Rowan is very childish, but reflects Blair for sure. He is completely determined and loyal. He only trusts her and Mary. Rowan will say everything on his mind and ask any question he wants. He is seriously a child. He had no maturity until it comes to flying and trying to blow fire. If there is something urgent, then he’ll behave and try to be the best he can be. He isn’t easily discourage and is incredibly protective of Blair, which is one reason she tries to keep him from the tavern. He is like a golden retriever basically, but he actually owns Blair, kind of like a cat owns their training. Blair is very motherly of him and will do everything he wants and he knows it. Right now they don’t get along when it comes to flying. Both are independent creatures and want to make decisions when it comes to where to go or how to get there.
