The Queen thinks over what she is going to say before she says it, and her temper is almost non-existent. Get her angry though, and you won't see another day. The Queen does what is best for her people, she has an ego of steel.
the history;
-- kingdom; Valterra -- village; -- -- occupation; Queen of Valterra -- alliance; King John -- history;Sophia was the only girl, and the youngest of the Fairhaven children. Her mother never bore another child after Sophia, she said it was because she bore a female, no one ever knew if this was true. Sophia was not just an ordinary young girl, she was princess, her father was the King of Valterra. He was a strong man, a great leader. He was fair, strong willed but kind hearted. He knew right from wrong and never blamed Sophia for being who she was, he loved his daughter as much as he loved his sons. Sophia was his little girl, and he would teach her how to be just as strong as his boys. And that he did.
Her mother died of an illness when Sophia was seven, she was a kind woman, and Sophia loved her dearly. Though she hadn't been a mother as much as Sophia's wet nurse had been, so although it was tragic, Sophia had people to help her cope, and she rose a stronger girl. Her father had grown even more attached to her over the years, she was the only girl he had left, and meant the world to him. He had her educated, and trained to fight, ride horses, and just about everything else. He knew one day she would turn into a fine woman, it was almost as though he knew she would one day be ruling over the Kingdom instead of her older brothers. Her eldest brother Bernard didn't make it to the throne, he had died in a riding accident, crushing her father's heart. He would have to keep himself stronger, hoping Richard would be ready to take the throne when Brockus was ready to step down. That didn't happen either, Richard had been reported missing a year or two after Bernard's death. Valterra searched for years, everyday was stressed, the last boy to the Valterra heir was gone, missing. The King had no choice but to sit and wait, hoping the boy would return.
Sophia had been courted when she was sixteen by many of men, charmingm handsome men. Though she had never really caught on to the frilly dresses and subdued manner. She was beautiful woman without the dresses and jewlery, and she knew how to stump a man with the words she spoke. She was smart, and she knew it.
Her father was weakening in the years that Sophia had met her husband Henry. He was a harsher man, very cold it seemed, though Sophia fell in love with him, they're personalities clashed in a way that could make a Kingdom as strong as ever. They married, and the King grew even weaker, dying the day Sophia found out she was with child.
Since the Kingdom of Valterra was Sophia's heir, she took power, though King Henry stood by her side, letting her call the shots and making descsion where she found troubles. They were a great match, and Sophia would be known as one of the best leaders of the Valterra lines. She led throughout her preganacy, actually going into labor while meeting with another Kingdom. She bore King Henry a son, and he could not be happier.
Years went on, Sophia wound up with child again, and the Kingdom was thrilled. Though as the months passed, something happened and she lost the boy along the way. He was born dead, the Kindgom was in a grim depression, this continued on while Sophia and Henry tried to have another child. Like her mother before her, she could not have anymore, so her son now was more important than anything. He was the heir to Valterra, and the ONLY one.
The Kingdom had picked itself back up and continued on under the fabulous ruling of King Henry and Queen Sophia. It had just been two years ago when King Henry died, killed by a man of Errigal. And not just any man, the King. He murdered him, a cold blooded murder, and Sophia vowed that if she ever came in contact with the evil hearted man she would kill him with her bare hands. Valterra and Errigal were split, a great hatred for another added even more when Sophia declared her siding with King John over Queen Valerie. She was not a fool, and would not put up with the killing of inncoent girls. [/style]
